In October, we held a free exhibition in central London to celebrate Right To Play’s 25th anniversary. 25 Years of Play showcased some of the most striking photography and films from across our global programmes over the past quarter of a century.
Visitors experienced powerful visual storytelling that captured the resilience and spirit of children, including those living through conflict and crisis.
We welcomed a wide range of guests, including supporters, partner organisations, ambassadors and policymakers. Suitable for all ages, the exhibition also welcomed schoolchildren such as the “Game Changers” club at Cooper’s Lane Primary School.
The exhibition ran from 7-11 October 2025 in Soho, London.
We were honoured to host major donors, Board members and other special guests, including Right To Play President and CEO Susan McIsaac, for an exclusive private viewing of the exhibition.
On 7 October, we were joined by policy professionals, government officials, academics, influencers and partners for the launch of our policy brief, Accelerating Foundational Learning Through Play.
The paper explores how play-based learning can help to address learning poverty by creating safe, inclusive and engaging learning environments that support children’s academic success and socio-emotional development.
More than 60 Playmakers – a network of dedicated young professionals who support Right To Play – also joined us for an evening of connection and celebration at the 25 Years of Play exhibition.
Gillian McMahon, Executive Director at Right To Play UK, said: “The exhibition celebrated the resilience, hope and creativity of children, and the critical role of play in protecting their well-being, supporting their education and unlocking their potential. It featured powerful moments from 25 years of Right To Play’s work and highlighted our life-changing impact in helping children learn, heal and thrive.”
