Crisis Appeal: Help Children in Lebanon, Gaza and the West Bank

The situation in Lebanon has escalated rapidly, with confirmed destruction and widespread displacement. More than 10,000 families have been forced from their homes, many seeking temporary shelter in schools and other makeshift arrangements.
Across Lebanon, Gaza and the West Bank, children are living through deep uncertainty. Displacement, instability, and exposure to violence disrupt not only their safety, but also their emotional well-being and access to education.
In moments like these, children need more than shelter. They need stability, trusted adults, safe learning environments, and structured psychosocial support to help them process fear and regain a sense of normalcy.
Right To Play's work in the Middle East
Right To Play has worked in Lebanon, Gaza and the West Bank for nearly 20 years. Our programmes support more than 6,700 children and 240 teachers and coaches.
We use play to give children the safety and stability they need to heal from trauma and return to learning. We provide protection and psychosocial support to children, and give teachers and parents the tools to help children navigate crisis.
Our Focus
In times of conflict, our work centres on:
- Providing emergency psychosocial support for children experiencing trauma and stress
- Supporting safe and stable learning environments
- Equipping educators and partners with tools to help children navigate crisis
- Adapting programmes to maintain continuity wherever possible
Right To Play teams are closely monitoring developments and will adjust programme plans as conditions allow. All staff are safe and accounted for.
