Right To Play UK held its ninth annual Sports Quiz on Wednesday 26 November 2025 at Nobu Hotel in London, raising over £350,000 to help transform the lives of children in our global programmes – our highest ever fundraising total!

The event was once again generously supported by Flutter International and brought together teams from many of London’s leading private equity and finance firms, all competing for the iconic Sports Quiz trophy. The quiz was expertly hosted by our brilliant quizmaster, John Inverdale.

A huge well done to TreasurySpring, champions of the 2025 Sports Quiz! Competition was intense throughout the evening, with lively bidding, challenging quiz rounds and exceptional food creating a fantastic atmosphere. The night also shone a spotlight on the power of play and the vital impact our programmes are making on vulnerable children worldwide.

The hundreds of guests who attended included a wonderful line-up of sporting stars and ambassadors who generously showed their support. A massive thank you to these sports heroes including LFC Legends Jermaine Pennant, Niamh Fahey and Jason McAteer, alongside Omar Beckles, Jonathan Brown, Kate French, Thomas Kaminski, Tim Krul, Vana Parker, Grace Prendergast, Louisa Reeve, Amy Truesdale, Peter Vincenti, Evan Walshe, Brock Whiston and Thomas Young, for joining us on the evening.

Reflecting on the event, Gillian McMahon, Executive Director of Right To Play UK, said: “We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us and contributed to making the Sports Quiz such a remarkable success. Your generosity is helping us change the lives of vulnerable children – supporting them to heal from trauma, return to education and build the skills they need to thrive. We can’t wait to see you all again next year!”

Our sincere thanks to everyone who made this event possible, including our sponsor Flutter International, our volunteer Sports Quiz Committee, as well as all the competing teams who supported our work. The vital support we receive at our Sports Quiz and throughout the year is making a life-changing difference to millions of vulnerable children every year.
