Right To Play Canada Welcomes Trevor Gardner as Chair of the Canadian Advisory Board

Right To Play Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Trevor Gardner as the incoming Chair of the Canadian Advisory Board (CAB).

Trevor, Managing Director and Head, Global Investment Banking Coverage at RBC Capital Market, brings a deep commitment to social impact, strong governance experience, and a long-standing belief in the power of sport and play to create lasting change for children and youth, all over the world. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated thoughtful leadership, strategic insight, and a passion for organizations that put equity, inclusion, and opportunity at the centre of their work.

As Chair, Trevor will work closely with the Board and leadership team to help guide Right To Play Canada’s strategic direction, strengthen governance, and support the organization’s mission to protect, educate, and empower children through play—especially those living in the most challenging contexts.

“We are thrilled to welcome Trevor into this role,” said Susan Vardon, National Director, Right To Play Canada. “His leadership, values, and dedication to the transformative power of play will be instrumental as we continue to grow our reach and deepen our impact across Canada and around the world.”

Right To Play Canada extends sincere thanks to Jake Lawrence for his leadership and service, and looks forward to this next chapter under Trevor’s guidance.

Please join us in welcoming Trevor and our incoming 2026 board members including Sam Effah, Kylie Fung, Christian Hensley, Kelcey Keane, and Elaad Keren. We look forward to seeing what we can accomplish together!
