An update on staff safety and programme operations in Lebanon, the West Bank, and Gaza.

We are closely monitoring the rapidly evolving situation in Lebanon following recent regional escalation.

As of Sunday evening, reports indicate 52 fatalities, more than 400 people injured, and over 10,000 families have been displaced. Many families have moved toward the city and are currently living in temporary or makeshift arrangements. Schools have opened their premises to host displaced families, reflecting the urgency and scale of the situation.

Staff Safety

All staff in Lebanon and the West Bank and Gaza are safe and accounted for.

In Lebanon, precautionary measures have been implemented, and staff are working remotely while conditions are assessed.

Programme Impact

Programme teams are in close contact with partners and are reviewing implementation plans. Some activities may be temporarily paused depending on local conditions and mobility constraints.

Supporting Children

In times of instability and displacement, children often experience heightened stress and uncertainty. Our teams remain mindful of the emotional well-being of the children we work with and are assessing how best to provide appropriate support as conditions allow.

We will continue to provide updates as the situation evolves.
