PLAY YOUR PART - DONATIONS DOUBLED BEFORE 13 DECEMBER
Play your part and give children the opportunity to feel safe, learn, heal from trauma... and play!
Here’s how your support can make a difference:
- £10 can provide essential school supplies like a notepad, books, and pencils for one child, so they can continue learning.
- £20 can provide hygiene kits, including soap, a toothbrush and toothpaste, antiseptic and hand sanitiser to help keep children safe.
- £60 can support children affected by displacement and conflict, helping them cope with stress and trauma.
As conflicts rage and climate change worsens, the places where children should feel safe to play and learn are disappearing.
Schools become damaged or close completely. Children are forced to flee their homes. Displacement multiplies the risk of exploitation, violence, and abuse. And through it all, children miss out on critical education and shoulder huge amounts of stress that can take a lifelong toll on their emotional well-being and development.
A safe space is where a child can participate in the childhood they deserve, no matter what’s happening around them. It’s where they can channel their inner resilience and unlock skills through games, sports, music, theatre, and art.
Play your part. Give children the space to feel safe, cope, and learn.
A safe space is where children play and participate in activities that support their learning and well-being alongside Right To Play-trained teachers, coaches, or mentors. It’s a classroom, a girls’ club, a music lesson, or a good listener. It’s a way to connect.
Children are resilient, but they need our help. In crises, education is often the first service to stop and the last to resume. Psychosocial support is often overlooked. Even if it is offered, it may not speak to children in their language – play.
Children need the space to grow their skills and confidence. Girls need to learn about their rights and how to protect their bodies. Safe spaces are where children discover their passions, express themselves, receive support, learn, connect, and so much more. Play your part to keep children safe.
Children can play their part and simply be kids when you play your part to keep them safe, learning, and thriving. Find out how.
